I liked Davros a lot in "Genesis of the Daleks", but I wished they never
brought him back afterwards (anyway, I've gone on in length about this
twice in previous messages, so I won't start again now <grin>).  But,
anyway, I really liked how they incorporated many Dalek features into
Davros, showing us where the Daleks got many of their characteristics.  The
most obvious, of course, was that Davros had a wheelchair which looked just
like the base of a Dalek.  His voice was Dalek-like (presumably, it was
enhanced by a computer, as his voice box had long-since deteriorated..note
his microphone), he also had use only of his right hand... the side of the
Dalek that has the feeler on it.  He was also blind, and his vision was
supplied by an artificial third eye on his forehead... just like the
Dalek's eyestalk.  Yes, I think they did a GREAT job in designing the
Davros costume.

Also, I wonder how old Davros was in "Genesis"?  It seems to me that he had
long past the point of death and was using his scientific knowledge to
build life-support systems to keep himself alive.  This would explain his
desiccated appearence, his blindness, and his grey, prune-like skin.  In
other words, he was a walking corpse.  Also, in "Genesis", Davros said that
the Kaled government had tried to close down HIS research bunker 50 years
previously... he is obviously quite an old man!  In "Destiny of the
Daleks", the Movellans classify Davros as a "mutant humanoid" but I think
this couldn't be further from the truth.  He appeared that way because of
his great age, and in "Genesis" he and the Kaleds were definately
"anti-mutant" as they banished all of the "Muto's" into the wasteland and
regarded them with spite.

Anyway, I've gone on far too long.  To quote Tegan, "I'm just a mouth on
legs".  :)
